Gillian Rogers has been drawing and painting most her life. Her unique style and brilliant use of colours is an excellent means for escaping into one of her many mountain scenes. “My Inspiration comes from the beautiful landscapes of Canada. We are so fortunate to live in such a vast geographically different country coast-to-coast. From the archipelago of Haida Gwaii to eastern shores of Newfoundland, Gillian has a never-ending source of inspiration to be creative.
Living in Calgary, Alberta and originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, the proximity of the prairies, foothills and mountains of both Alberta and British Columbia provide me with a never-ending source of inspiration to be creative.
As an adventurer and traveller, Gillian draws inspiration from her hiking, kayaking, and camping trips throughout Canada, specifically Alberta and British Columbia. She captures the unique features of stunning wilderness scenes with her camera and uses the images taken as the templates for her paintings.
